About Gist Compound
Your people. Your gist. Your game.
Welcome to the Compound! 🎉
Welcome to Gist Compound, where Nigerian culture, laughter, friendly competition, and everyday wahala come together!
Gist Compound is an interactive entertainment experience inspired by the humour, languages, traditions, family dynamics, and everyday experiences that make Nigerian life so colourful.
From hilarious compound situations and family drama to Nigerian slang, cultural trivia, food challenges, and unexpected surprises, there’s always something happening in the compound.
Whether you’re in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Calabar, Abuja, Port Harcourt, London, Houston, Toronto, Johannesburg, or anywhere else in the world, there’s a place for you here.
You don’t have to be Nigerian to join the fun. Come curious, bring your sense of humour, and prepare for plenty of gist!
Our Mission
Our mission is to celebrate Nigerian culture through engaging, entertaining, and culturally respectful games that bring people together across generations and borders.
We want Gist Compound to be a place where players can laugh, learn, challenge themselves, discover new expressions, and experience the richness of Nigerian everyday life.
We believe culture should be celebrated, shared, and enjoyed.
What’s Inside the Compound?
There’s plenty to explore!

And this is only the beginning!
Celebrating Our Differences
Nigeria is home to hundreds of languages, communities, and traditions.
The same expression can have different meanings depending on the region, language, or situation. Even our favourite soups can be prepared differently from one household to another!
Gist Compound celebrates these differences rather than claiming that one interpretation represents everyone.
Our games are designed for entertainment and informal learning. We welcome respectful feedback, corrections, and cultural contributions that help us improve.
Made for Nigerians and the World
Gist Compound is inspired by Nigeria, but the doors of our compound are open to players worldwide.
Whether you’re reconnecting with your roots, introducing your friends to Nigerian culture, or discovering something completely new, we hope you’ll find something to enjoy.
Accounts are for players aged 13 and above, subject to applicable local requirements. Younger players can enjoy the guest version with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Players may explore available guest features or create an account to save supported game progress.
